What is the true essence of Spirituality?

Image
Hello Friends, I want you to understand, Spirituality is not just wearing orange cloth and wandering into Himalayas. It is meant to Harmonise  your innerself and outer surroundings. If you really want existential changes in yourself then you are ought to be the most gentle, most kind and most energetic person. A real spiritual seeked must always strive for perfection in himself and his surroundings too. The real fun is not chanting God's name. It is in improving his creations. If you want to grow a rose plant in your garden, will you chant its name everyday? Will you sing it's glories around it? You have to simply water the plant! Only a lunatic thinks that just by muttering God's name he will attain perfection. Believe me, there is no one up there sitting on a golden throne crying and asking for your  Bhakti. How come you pour milk to Shivalinga if hundreds of beggars are sitting outside the temple and weeping for food! Don't just turn rosary bea...

Transcendental idealism: Kant's Philosophy

Immanuel Kant (1724–1804) is the central figure in modern philosophy. He synthesized early modern rationalism and empiricism, set the terms for much of nineteenth and twentieth-century philosophy, and continues to exercise a significant influence today in metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, aesthetics, and other fields. Space and time are nothing other than the subjective forms of human sensible intuition.  Space and time are empirically real, wh...

Socrates - The Father of Western Philosophy

Image
Socrates  (c. 469 - 399 B.C.) was a hugely important Greek philosopher from the Classical period (often known as the Socratic period in his honor). Unlike most of the Pre-Socratic philosophers who came before him, who were much more interested in establishing how the world works, Socrates was more concerned with how people should behave, and so was perhaps the first major philosopher of Ethics. An enigmatic figure known to us only through other people's accounts (principally the dialogues of his student Plato), he is credited as one of the founders of Western Philosophy. He is considered by some as the very antithesis of the Sophists of his day, who claimed to have knowledge which they could transmit to others (often for payment), arguing instead that knowledge should be pursued for its own sake, even if one could never fully possess it.      He made important and lasting contributions in the fields of Ethics, Epistemology and Logic, and parti...
